The volleyball tournament has now come to an end, but the misfortunes in Seto’s life don’t seem to be ending yet. All well that ends well as the chapter ends with a heart-warming interaction between Anjou and Seto in which Anjou shares how much she enjoyed the tournament regardless of the mistakes Seto made, which is proof enough that it doesn’t matter to her if Seto fails a few times because she will always enjoy her time as long as she’s with her.

Yancha Gal No Anjou-san Chapter 148 “Seto-kun gives it his all at the tournament”: Recap
The volleyball tournament is on, and Anjou and Seto are faced with a very strong team. Seto has trained hard and prepared for this very moment but has failed to get any results, as every time he tries to get better. He only ends up getting worse. During the last year’s tournament, Seto recalls that he was hit by a ball and had a terrible nosebleed. If that wasn’t enough, Seto took another ball to the face recently and ended up getting a nosebleed once again. This needs to stop! And it needs to stop soon, and so Seto steps into the court with determination.
The game begins, and Anjou and her friends look all fired up for it while Seto only thinks of ways to not fail in front of Anjou. As Seto gets lost in thoughts, Anjou takes the lead and smashes the ball toward the opponents taking down two of their players. Seto gets left shocked as he never thought Anjou was this good, and he just melts, thinking how cool she looks. As always, Seto loses focus because of this, and a ball slams right on his head and knocks him out while Anjou stares at him with surprise.
Anjou, Seto, and others take a quick break to eat lunch and discuss their strategy. Seto believes that the hit from the ball doesn’t count as he didn’t bleed this time when suddenly Anjou offers him some fried chicken in a way used to feed children. Seto accepts the food and eats it while saying to himself that he would do better next time. Anjou also tries some of Seto’s food, and Seto just looks at her because of how cute she is.
The next round begins, and Anjou’s friends get taken out by getting hit by the ball. Anjou tries to take revenge, but her throws get caught by the opponent, and so it all comes down to Seto and Anjou to win this game. Seto keeps repeating to himself that he needs to do anything to catch the ball.
Even if his body gives out, if he doesn’t want to look like a loser, then he must not fumble this catch no matter what. So many big words, and yet the ball slips through Seto’s hands, but Anjou runs towards it and saves it from going out. They ultimately lose the match.
Seto and Anjou meet after the match, and Anjou expresses her anger over the other team for being so good while Seto gets scared of her. Seto apologizes for his mistake, but Anjou doesn’t pay much attention to it and starts laughing instead. She then goes silent at the fact that the tournament is finally over and tells Seto how much she enjoyed it.
