Mandy, a new mother, cannot calm her new baby down. Well, Mary comes to the rescue and gets the baby to sleep. As for Missy, we see that she is still pretty worked up about her parent’s situation and thus tries to talk to Mandy about it. But she does not pay much attention and tries to dismiss the subject. Sheldon is now trying to become more open to failure so that he does not get disheartened so often.
Thus, he goes to George Sr to teach him baseball. It is surprisingly good when he throws the ball for the first time. Mary and Meemaw are under the same roof, and we all know that the former has been avoiding various issues in her life for a while now. Thus, Meemaw tries to advise her the same. However, Mary says she needs her space right now and does not listen to her.
As for Missy, she is still curious about everything. Thus, she goes about in school asking Billy about Brenda; What is her relationship with George Sr. She is already getting annoyed by how no one is correctly answering or explaining. By this time, her teacher asks her to be quiet because the students are meant not to talk during the test. This caused her to lash out in the middle of the class. As Mary and George pick her up from school, they also scold her.
