Masayoshi Ooishi (Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de) is performing the opening theme “Shinda!,” which is previewed in the promotional video below. Voice Actress Yurika Kubo performs the ending theme “Kawaikutte Ijiwaru Shichau.”
Rion Kujou (Shin Ikkitousen) is helming the anime at LIDENFILMS. Yuu Satou (Kotarou wa Hitorigurashi) is handling the series composition and Yousuke Yabumoto (Tribe Nine) is designing the characters. Kana Utatane (Mieruko-chan), Yuuki Nara (Idoly Pride), yamazo (RobiHachi), and MOKA☆ (Noragami Aragoto) are composing the music.
The anime adapts Subaruichi‘s action adventure manga, which began in the Ura Sunday magazine and MangaONE application from December 2014 to December 2020. Shogakukan released the 20th and final volume in March 2021.
A sequel titled Yuusha ga Shinda!: Kami no Kuni-hen began serializing on MangaONE on May 9.
