The chapter starts off with Madam Bleuet talking to Lady Astrid in the passage of the royal household. She asks her how good she thinks Noel Berkein is. Lady Astrid had nothing but appreciation for him. If Neol were the apprentice of the workshop, the workshop would have easily become famous.
Lady Astrid’s adoptive father, the late Duke had inculcated work of porcelain in Lady Astrid’s mind. She has been very interested in porcelain since a very young age because her father had an interest in art. Porcelain was the intellectual legacy left by her father for her and the Lady’s dream is to discover and cultivate the Master Craftsmen.
Karina then speaks to Chess over a cup of tea. Chess tells her that Lady Astrid was going to use Noel’s crockery to organize a tea party. Karina thinks Lady Astrid is too young for a tea party but does not say much. Instead, she asks Chess of a favor. Since Chess was good at using magic, she asks him to teach her children how to use magic.
Chess agrees and shows Roland and Melisa how to use magic. He soon discovers that both the kids are geniuses and gifted in the utilization of mana. However, Melisa requests Chess to not let the King know about their proficiency in magic because she wants her children to live their own lives and not be confined by others. Chess tells her that she is a good parent and promises not to say anything to His Grace. Chess really wished he had parents who truly cared for him like Karina did about her children.
Karina then witnesses Roland using defense magic. The trajectory of the story was changing because Roland was not able to use defense magic in the original contents of the book. Andrea came running to Karina because Princess Astrid wanted to meet her urgently.
