Murim Wild West Chapter 25: Recap
Reinforcements have arrived at the place where Jang Geon took down many soldiers alone to protect the tribe from getting harmed and finally got the elixir pearl from the spirit as a reward for his good deeds.
Kang Ryeong is deemed a culprit in Kang Chung’s murder. Kwak Sun, Chief of the Gangsancheon branch, gets scared to see the higher-ups arriving at the scene and tries to avoid the topic by mentioning the rights of indigenous tribes.

Kwak thinks that he would’ve cleared this mess if the higher-ups didn’t intervene, but now he’s in trouble. Meanwhile, the higher-ups are confused to see that the village hasn’t suffered much damage despite being invaded, and they even keep a few invaders alive to claim self-defense.
He asks Kwak about the cursed piece of paper he found lying around. He knows anything, but Kwak tries to stay clean from the mess and declines. Kwak says that if he knew, he would’ve caught the culprit and taken full responsibility for his actions.
The higher-ups agree with him and let him off the hook. They decide to take the invaders with them and order Kwak to provide compensation to the tribe people for all the damage incurred and also declare the indigenous people as the owners of that land.

Kwak leaves the scene, and the higher-ups examine the dead bodies of the swordsman along with Kang Chung’s body. They learn that the man who fought Jang used demonic arts and hidden weapons, which makes them shocked as these techniques belong to the Tangmen sect, a sect believed to be destroyed 100 years ago.
They decide that it must be someone who learned about the Tangmen’s techniques and the clan hasn’t been reborn, and they walk away thinking how Jang is still one step ahead of them after all this time. Meanwhile, Jang has traveled across the forest after leaving the tribe camp last night and has stopped by a cave to use the pearl he got from the spirit.

Jang crawls on the ground as the effects of the elixir pill start to take effect. The pure condensed Qi inside the pill takes a huge toll on Kang’s body as its toxic to any normal human being. He tries to concentrate on it, or the Qi will just dissipate into the surroundings, and he won’t get anything out of it.
After a hard and painful effort, Jang finally manages to melt a portion of the pill into his body, and the pill becomes dormant in his core. Then he sets out again and reaches another town, where he decides to stay the night in a local bar.
