One day, while playing, Akane stumbled upon a guildmate named Akito Yamada. He was an unsociable and short-tempered guy with a distinctive afro and Noh mask. Despite his impressive gaming skills, Akito was inexperienced in love and relationships. Surprisingly, Akane found herself drawn to him.

As they continued to play together, Akane began to make new friends and interact more with Akito. She soon discovered that there was more to him than his tough exterior. Despite his reluctance to open up, Akane was determined to break through his walls and connect with him on a deeper level.

Sharing their love for gaming brought them closer, but it was their shared insecurities and struggled that truly taped their bond. As they journeyed through the ups and downs of high school and their personal lives, Akane and Akito grew closer and discovered a love that was more than just the virtual world.

My Lv999 Love For Yamada-kun Chapter 91 Recap

We saw in the previous to the previous chapter about Eita planning to meet up IRL (physically), but Akane was worried about Ruka as he wouldn’t favor IRL meets,

As we start Chapter 91, everyone is gathered on a rooftop cafe and thanking Kamota-san for arranging it. He plays it cool, saying he was even offered a complimentary stay ticket and decided it would be a nice place to gather everyone.

Akane looks happy and wants to take a picture together with Ruka, which makes him blush. She then asks if Ruka is doing okay and has his nervousness in check. Ruka can only think of how nice Akane smells and is shy because she’s so close. But then he notices Runa’s deathly stare and replies, “not really.”

Ruka asks Akane if he did something wrong to be welcomed by Runa’s deathly glares. Akane comforts him by saying that Runa behaves like this with everyone and that it will go away after a while.

We find out why Runa is behaving the way she is. When Ruka arrived earlier, everybody bombarded him with questions, ignoring Runa. This seems to be the reason she’s been acting ticked off for a while.

Presently, Akane offers cake to Ruka and asks him if he has any allergies, which he doesn’t. All the food offerings and sweet talking make Ruka sure that Akane thinks of him as a child, which is different from the virtual world where he thought she was someone he had to protect in the game.

On the other side, Akane sees Ruka eating his cake and concludes that he’s a quiet kid just like Kotaro. Ruka observes the members, who are totally different than what he thought of them. The guild members seem lively, different from someone tense like him.

But just like him, Runa is also not enjoying herself. When they accidentally make eye contact, Runa immediately stands up and walks away, making Ruka think he is the reason for making Runa uncomfortable.

Right when she’s going, Yamada enters and tells Runa not to wander too far away. After that, Yamada introduces himself to Ruka, who has a trail of thoughts about how cool Yamada is. Akane runs to greet Yamada and seems genuinely happy to see him, which makes Ruka a bit melancholic
