Roses and Champagne is the story of a Korean-American Lawyer and how his life became intervened with that of a Mafia Boss. Our Protagonist, Jung Leewon is seen speeding through the streets of Russia. He is obviously in a hurry. He tells himself to finish his work soon. The sooner he is done with whatever he is doing, the sooner he can return back to Korea.
As his mind was elsewhere and since he was walking fast he did not see what was right in front of him. He bumped into a man and was about to fall. The man was Ceasar Alexandrovich Sergeyev the head of the Sergeyev Mafia. Ceasar caught him and saved him from falling. Leewon had no idea whom he just bumped into. He told his apologies and went on his merry way.
Little did he know, that little incident will have a great impact on his life. After work Leewon went back to his place. He lives with his Grandma. She informs him that Nikolai came by while he was away. Nikolai is one of the tenants at the building he stays in. He is a factory owner and someone is trying to strongarm the factory from his hands.

The main culprit is Gerog Zdanov. He is a senator and the one trying to get Nikaolai to give up his company. Leewon suspects if anyone is anyone is behind him. While in a meeting with Ceasar, Leewon barges in wanting to meet Zdanov. There he recognizes Ceasar but keeps it to himself. He serves the Councilar with some papers and leaves.
Before doing so he exchanges cards with Ceasar. After leaving he takes his card to Nikolai. He recognizes the organization on the card as the Mafia. Now that he has confirmed Mafia’s involvement he decides to take the fight to Ceasar now. This time he barges into Ceasar’s office. Ceasar acts as if he does not remember Leewon leading him to do something drastic.
He takes a pen and tries to stab him. However, he stops at the end. He exclaims how he will remember him now. He informs Ceasar that if he is found to have some connection with a corrupt councilman it would be very bad for business. He has evidence that Zdanov is corrupt and threatens to make them public unless they back out. Ceasar is impressed and wants to know more about Leewon.

Roses and Champagne Chapter 60 Recap – The Story So Far
In Roses and Champagne Chapter 60, we see Leewon and Ceasar in the midst of the Survival Game Dimitri has prepared for them. Leewon wakes up after his Nap. He thinks to himself how the beach he slept on was more stable than he once assumed. He exclaims how he hasn’t seen Ceasar in 2 whole days. After looking through his belongings he found a heating pad.
This is weird as Leewon never did pack a heating pad. After some inspection, he found an inscription in it. It read, Stay Safe and Be Careful Not To Catch a Cold. He blames himself for letting Ceasar play him for a fool. He talks into his Radio and asks Ceasar to say something. Leewon is clearly annoyed that Ceasar had found him already but he has no idea where Ceasar is. They talk for a while.
Leewon notices that the audio clarity is good. Which is suspicious as the Fog is supposed to interfere with the signal. The only explanation is that Ceasar is very close. He decided to use this information to try and find Ceasar. Leewon sets up a campsite for Ceasar to find. Little did he know that was a well-planned trap. While Ceasar is examining the campsite Leewon jumps him.

Ceasar is caught by surprise and loses his footing. Leewon uses this opportunity to shoot the pistol out of Ceasar’s hand. Leewon proceeds to throw him over and pin him down while staying o top of him. Ceasar applauds him over his victory. However, Leewon is not at all happy. He pistol whips him a little too hard drawing Blood. He threatens to shoot him next.

We saw that Jung Leewon has won the challenge. I guess Ceasar also won since he knew where Leewon was the entire time. But Leewon does deserve credit for finding out that Ceasar was close by. And then using his advantage against him. Now that Leewon has won we can only imagine what is going to happen next. We know Dimitri is monitoring the game.
He would know that the game is over by now. He was rooting for Ceasar but It was Leewon who won in the end. Ceasar could have ended the game in one day with his skills but he choose not to. Their relationship has come a long way. Even though Leewon is often annoyed with his antics he seems to care for him. They are obviously from vastly different worlds but they seem to make it work.
