Edens Zero Chapter 230 “Form of Ether”: Recap
Shiki and his team are still trapped in the past. Due to the 3-year gap in time, their ethereal powers have also been significantly reduced, and some of them have even lost their memories. Among those who lost their memories are the element of wind Kleene and her brother Jinn. In the previous chapters, we saw them attacking their ally, Sister. The fight has finally come to an end, with Sister being Victorious.

Kleene and Jinn have finally regained their memories, but they are angry because Sister kept beating them up even after they told her about it. She replies by saying that she needed reassurance, and so it was necessary. She also points out the fact that she has good healing skills and so she would fix them in no time, but Jinn is still angry at her behavior. As the two of them argue, Kleene starts crying.
Kleene runs and hugs Sister as she finally remembers everything. Suddenly Sister gets an emergency call from Moscoy as he finally gets his memories back too. Everyone gets frustrated at his loud noise when Homura enters the scene. Kleene and Jinn greet her, but she tells them that she still can’t remember everything and how she got here, which worries them.
Meanwhile, Shiki is facing off against Poseidon’s god Nero. Shiki is also seen suffering from the effect of reduced ethereal powers, and Nero is rather quick to pick up this information. He identifies Shiki’s gravity powers and asks him if he’s related to Ziggy. Shiki asks him how he knows his grandpa, to which Nero replies that he met him at the temple when he was an emperor.
Nero realizes that Shiki is none other than Ziggy’s orphaned son, and so he attacks Shiki. Shiki barely dodges the attack, so Nero offers him to use overdrive, but Shiki argues that the body he currently has would not be able to handle his true power. Nero explains to him that it’s not how ethereal power works.

Nero tells Shiki that overdrive is the critical point of ethereal powers which makes it change the molecules of the human using it. Shiki quickly understands his point and realizes that his current body can also handle his true power by changing his form slightly. He uses ether optimization and unleashes his full strength.
Nero and everyone else get shocked at the sudden surge in power, and Shiki has finally managed to use the overdrive route Ziggy! He takes down Nero in one single blow and returns to normal. He asks Nero why he explained the powers of ether to him, to which Neri replies that he believes Nero can defeat Emperor Shura soon.
Drakken Joe enters the scene to challenge Shiki, but instead of fighting him, Shiki decides to make him and Shura his friend after he sees some of his memories which shock everyone.
