See the Results of our Knowledge Gain Survey – Recknsense

In October 2021, we conducted user research to understand how people gain knowledge, specifically when they want to learn about something new. Why did we do it? Our Recommend feature is all about finding shortcuts to wisdom so we wanted to hear what people do it today. We asked 4 simple questions – where do you go first, what makes you trust sources of knowledge, what will you want to know more of over the next year and what holds you back learning something new? We found out some great insights like video as a popular method of learning but reading books are still at the top of the list despite our easy access to short form information. We confirmed that the reputation of the provider was a key factor (more than popularity) but also checking multiple sources was something people did frequently. You can find out more insights from the results and our conclusions here.
